Prediction #1

The traditional webinar will have to change in order to continue to work.

So let’s talk webinars! Webinars are a staple for online business. Even if you’ve never done a webinar, you’ve probably attended one. Although there is such a thing as free, no pitch webinars. I actually did one of these with Dubsado this year.

The majority of webinars are for the purpose of selling something online. When webinars were newer, people doing them were doing something “new and cool and fresh”. You were getting to watch someone teach you something live for an hour, and it was awesome!

I think the traditional webinar now is getting stale. A lot of the people teaching how to do webinars well, are teaching based on what would work well 3 years ago but doesn’t anymore because many people have been to 1 too many bad webinars. People are too used to webinars and have often been too disappointed by webinars for this to work how it used to.

One of my marketing predictions for 2021  is that I think people will continue to be less interested in software that seems live but is actually a recording. I think people are over the template webinars and false advertising of it not being live.

Basically, I don’t think webinars are going away. Don't hear me saying that!

But I do think the webinar model that we are familiar with will have to change and be innovated to keep working in 2021.
