Website Design + Branding - Lulu Minns Coaching LTD.
Lulu Minns is a transformational life and business coach based allllllll the way in the United Kingdom. She’s a rockstar when it comes to running a business, her clients all RAVE that she is a fantastic coach, and her British accent is so fun to listen to compared to my southern voice! When Lulu came to me last year wanting to level up her website, I was so excited to dive in!
Lulu’s mission is to help women create freedom and success on their own feminine terms in their businesses--and their lives. Don’t you just love that? We wanted to create a brand that showcased this perfectly and that spoke to the needs of her target audience.
Here's a little bit of what Lulu had to say about our project:
"Working with Elizabeth was a total dream. Fun, creative and exciting. Whilst I was nervous about moving website platforms as if anything gives me a headache it's tech but I knew working with Elizabeth was must, I could see how bespoke her designs were and her passion for what she does. So I followed my heart in doing so, a rule for my business so I decided to Ignore the tech stuff I was worried about and trusted all would work out and it totally did.
What an amazing experience, painless, fun and exciting. Elizabeth totally understood my vision and created it perfectly. She was amazing with tech support and getting everything done with no disruption to me, so I could totally focus on my business.
Elizabeth went above and beyond, so not only is she an amazingly talented designer - she is a total dream to work with. I can't recommend working with her enough. My brand has had a total uplift and is so authentic to me, I feel like I can stand out as I am."
For the website, Lulu wanted soft pinks and warm blues and blacks. We also used patterns to create a Moroccan feel. The biggest goal was to take her website to a more professional level and showcase all that she has to offer potential clients. Lulu worked with the amazing Copywriter, Mollie Marrocco and the talented Nargis Cross for photography and videography. I loved the way we were able to utilize SO much video on the website and Mollie’s amazing copywriting skills made pulling the design together so fun!
My favorite page on the site is the About Page. Lulu wanted to featured women from history who “break the rules and live life on their own terms.” I had to think very creatively to come up with a fun and interactive way to show this - the challenge was super fun! I ended up creating a hovering feature where you can hover over the woman’s photo and read about her on the desktop version of the site. Click here to see it!
Enough from me! Let’s hear what the client had to say.
How do you think this updated brand and website will impact your business?
"It represents part of my journey in stepping into a truer and more authentic version of myself which has been a huge process and a process I help clients within a much quicker way than mine. The brand and website shows me for who I am and that in turn means the right clients will find me more easily. When we show up as our true selves, it feels good, when we feel good we attract more of it."
Were you surprised by any part of the project?
"Just how easy and smooth the whole experience was. Tech stuff and change can be something which causes me stress as it’s not my zone of genius although I know how I want things to look! Elizabeth made the process easy, fun and exciting. You are a dream to work with, hey do you want to come to the UK to design my home next as that is my next project, haha."
What’s your favorite part of your new website and brand?
"Defo the Moroccan vibes which is totally me, I grew up in a very cultural household. My mum studied textiles and design at University and my Dad is a musician. Having three children, they’ve never made it to Morocco but we’ve always had Moroccan influences at home with Mum’s itchy cushions. She finds it funny that I now love them too. Being in the Riad in Morocco felt like home to me as I was surrounded by things my mum loves so hosting an event there with my clients and having the influence on my website feels perfect.
Plus can I have two things as I also love the inspiring women feature - again being surrounded by inspiring women who made their own rules was normal for me, Lee Miller and Frida Kahlo being huge influences and again part of me and my brand."
