Tiffany’s Backstory:
Tiffany tells me that she started on Instagram in the makeup community as a beauty blogger. She grew a significant following at that time before being laid off due to the pandemic from her 9-5 that she was still working. As she was chasing all of the things that she thought she needed to be doing, she realized that she had an opportunity to take her coaching business full time!
Prior to making this transition, Tiffany says that she had not been exposed to coaching and didn’t know anything about the community that already existed in this space. She went all-in starting with 1-1 clients and eventually moving into group coaching and creating a program. Tiffany hit six figures in her business coaching people on Instagram marketing in around 8 months!
What tips do you have for people about having more success on social media?
I asked Tiffany this question from the perspective of people wanting to grow their business financially AND people wanting to grow their following.
While Tiffany did have a following of about 50k - 60k at the beginning of her business, she was transitioning from the beauty industry to coaching and a lot of her community were not aligned clients of her. She says she did have to pivot her strategy in order to magnetize and attract the people that would be a really good fit for her program.
Tiffany says that content strategy and creating the right content that clearly communicates what you do effectively allows your audience to understand who you are and the transformation that they will be able to experience through working with you. This is gold for Instagram marketing and anyone who wants to grow their business or following.
Being able to craft your content strategy to speak to your ideal audience and starting with your brand messaging is very important. In addition to that, really understanding their pain points, doing your market research, and asking questions, and being proactive about it is going to change the game for you!
How are you planning content?
Tiffany emphasizes figuring out what works best for you to be able to tap into your creative thoughts when it comes to content creation. This will be different for everyone!
She says she uses an app called UNUM to view her feed from an aesthetic perspective. Tiffany makes sure to say that she doesn’t put too much pressure on this because she values QUALITY over quantity when it comes to content.
She also uses ASAN to keep track of her content repository. This is where she breaks her content up into the following pillars:
- Unawareness
- Know
- Like
- Trust
- Shared Connection
Tune in to the full episode to hear Tiffany explain these pillars in detail! She says one of her big Instagram strategies is to align her business goals with Instagram posts. Tiffany creates her business goals for the month and reverse engineers them in the form of posts to help meet her goals using these pillars.

What tips do you have for using hashtags?
The main thing you want to think about with hashtags is really diversifying your groups of hashtags so that you're cycling them out and they're different each time.
You also want your hashtags to be a mix of things that are audience specific, niche or brand specific, and content specific.
Make sure you check out the full episode to hear Tiffany explain each of these in detail!

More Instagram Strategy Tips:
Tiffany says that she sees a lot of her clients feeling the need to spend all day on Instagram. This cannot be farther from the truth. You do not need to post on Instagram every single day or multiple times a day to grow your following. Set healthy boundaries around social media.
Your business will thrive when you take care of yourself. You can show up intentionally on social media with only 15-20 minutes per day!
I hope you love this episode and take away so much of this great knowledge!
