As the title of this episode suggests, I’m launching a course for podcasters. Whether you've been in the podcasting game for a while and you're looking to level up your systems, gain more traction from your show, or make more money, OR you are brand new and want to start (and grow) your podcast effectively, this podcast course is going to be perfect for you.
I’m going to be sharing more about it in today’s episode, but before I do if this seems like something you’re interested in (YAY!), sign up for the waitlist here!
By signing up, you'll be the first to know when I launch for the beta group, which means that you'll have the option of purchasing the course before it's fully created. By purchasing early, you'll receive special perks that I'm really excited about, including a discounted price. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to provide feedback during the creation process, letting me know what you want to learn and what you don't need as much. We'll also have group coaching calls together so that I can make sure to answer all your questions and support you through the process! Doesn’t that sound good?!
Keep in mind, there will be limited spots available for the beta group, so make sure you are on the waitlist if you're interested in this podcast course. There’s also a survey on that page that I would LOVE for you to fill out to help me make the course even better for you!

I have hosted the Breakthrough Brand podcast since early 2019, which adds up to four and a half years. And trust me - I still remember the time when I first started and had the vision of creating a podcast, around mid-2018. It took me a while to set it up and get going. I remember thinking “who am I to do this?” and “isn’t the space too saturated already?”
I'm so grateful that I didn't listen to those negative thoughts. Because here's the thing: my business wouldn't be where it is today without this podcast. It has become my number one lead generator, consistently contributing to my revenue, not just through advertisements but also through other means. On top of that, doing this podcast is not only one of my favorite things in my business but also in my life. Seriously, it gives me so much joy. And part of the reason I want to launch a podcast course is to help you feel the same!
Why I decided to create a course for podcasters
I believe that many of the current podcast courses on the market are focusing too much on monetizing with ads rather than teaching you how to run your podcast well.
Let's be honest, only a very small percentage of shows actually make substantial money from ads.
Personally, I think podcasting is the most intimate and impactful way to create content in today's world. When someone listens to your show, you become part of their life. They listen while driving, at the gym, in the shower, while doing chores, getting ready for work, working. You're there with them, either playing out loud or through noise-canceling headphones. It's truly remarkable. Nothing comes close to this level of intimacy in content creation. While platforms like YouTube and TikTok offer similar bingeable experiences, people don't take videos with them the same way they do with podcast episodes.
In my personal opinion, podcasting is the BEST form of content creation. It's been a game-changer for my business, and I've realized that not everyone thinks about it the same way I do. I believe I have a unique perspective after years of experience with how podcasting can make a difference in your business.

Why This Podcast Course is Different Than Others on the Market
Once I had the idea, I immediately sketched out a rough course outline for the modules and lessons. It all flowed out of my head in just 30 minutes. I knew right away that this is what the world needs, what you guys need, and I want to be the one to create it. I've already started working on the course content. It felt like this course had been in the back of my mind for years, and now I'm finally ready to bring it to life.
While researching podcast courses (which I believe is an important step in course creation), I checked out what else is available on the topic. I noticed that many of them don't actually teach you how to run a podcast long-term. Instead, they focus on topics like show distribution on platforms like Apple and Spotify, selecting a show name and niche, creating artwork and music, and briefly touch upon monetization. There may be some lessons on conducting interviews, recording solo episodes, and marketing, but the emphasis is mostly on the initial stages when you are looking to start a podcast.
Many podcast courses put a heavy focus on the initial stages, which is definitely important for understanding distribution, artwork, and other technical aspects. While I'll cover these in my course, I want to be real with you. The main challenge most podcasters face isn't starting their show; it's staying committed, developing effective systems, and making it work in their lives.
That's where my course comes in, offering guidance on finding passion for, generating content ideas, outsourcing technical aspects, and creating systems for planning, editing, and promoting episodes. I'll also address researching guests, honing interview skills, delivering engaging solo episodes, and understanding your audience's needs. On top of that, I'm going to share my insights on monetization beyond just ads and sponsors, such as leveraging your own products/services and affiliate partnerships. I don’t see people talking about how to actually make money from their podcast near enough!
Want a BTS Look into my Podcast?
Another thing I'm excited about is that I did something similar in Booked Out Designer and it was a hit! In this course, you'll get to watch me record a solo episode where I provide tips and walk you through my process. There's a lesson before that where I talk about the steps of doing a solo episode. Then, the next one is where you can watch me in action - plugging things in, sitting, showing you my computer setup, and even the pauses. I'll do the same for an interview too. You'll get to see what happens before we hit record, what we discuss after recording, and how we handle rephrasing or removing content. We might even encounter some technical issues. I want to give you a real-life behind-the-scenes example so you can see everything that goes into it. This is just a snippet of what I'll cover in this podcast course!

Recording My Podcast Course During my Second Trimester
Okay, this is going to be hilarious for some of you who remember and get it. You may or may not know, depending on how long you've been around. But I created my course Booked Out Designer during my pregnancy with Colin. And in case you missed it, I'm pregnant again with baby number two as I'm recording this. So I beta-launched Booked Out Designer when I was 13 weeks pregnant. In the second trimester, I created and delivered the course to my students. I dripped the modules as I completed them, just like I'm planning for this podcast course. By the time I started the third trimester, Booked Out Designer was fully completed. Then I opened the doors to more students before going on maternity leave.
Last time, my pregnancy brought out my creativity and even though this pregnancy has been more challenging compared to my previous one with Colin, I've still been feeling that “course itch”. Plus, I discovered that I really enjoy working on a pregnancy project. There's something about the energy and contentment I feel during this time that fuels my creativity. I thrive in content mode while pregnant!
