I have the pleasure of introducing you to the new online home for Katy Harvey today! Katy is an eating disorder specialist and counselor. She started her business in 2012, and it has since grown to include online courses, e-Book, and a blog with over 500 amazing posts! Her original blog was hosted on a blogging platform without its own domain name. Although her content has always been amazing (seriously, I have loved reading it!), it didn’t have it’s own true online home until now. Today, if you head to Katy’s blog, you’ll find that you can view her content by category, see top posts, and so much more!
It has been an honor to work with Katy! She is a true inspiration, and I love that I am able to help her reach even more people in her business. If you want to explore great resources on topics such as eating disorders, exercise, intuitive eating and so much more head to Katy’s blog! Some of my favorite blogs by Katy are linked here: Eat When You Are Hungry, Exercise: Transforming it from a chore into an artful form of self-respect, and The #1 Reason Why Most People Overeat and What to Do About It.
So, let’s dive in now to what Katy had to say about her new website!
Question: What’s your favorite part of your new website?
Katy: “My favorite part of my new website is the merger of professionalism with it still being fun and relatable. I don’t want people to feel intimidated by me or my services. I also love how my website is gorgeous and super easy to navigate.”
Question: How do you think this updated website will impact your business?
Katy: “I’m hoping that this updated website will be more representative of who I am and what I can offer the world. My previous site was simply a blog, so this is much more comprehensive and will allow me to interface with clients and readers in a much broader way. I’m confident that my new website is going to help me grow my business, and I have Elizabeth to thank for that!”
Question: Did we successfully accomplish your design goals?
Katy: “Above and beyond! Elizabeth is incredibly easy to work with and had great instincts when it came to bringing my vision to reality. She has really streamlined the process with tools and guidance she provides along the way, and when it comes to the execution of the building and design of the website she really takes the reins and gets it done.”
Question: What is your best piece of advice for any new business owners?
Katy: “Be clear on who your target market is, and make it super specific. If you are trying to appeal to everybody, you’ll appeal to nobody. Strive to serve your niche in a way that will delight them.”
